The Underbridge s.r.l. ®was set up in February 2007 in order to facilitate and optimize visual inspections of bridges and viaducts.

When it entered the market many companies and operators such us the ANAS (the national operator for road network) departments in Florence and L’Aquila together with the local authority of Frosinone, showed their interest and started using this innovative technology.

On the viaduct

The activity is developed from personnel highly specialized thatoperates on road under safety condition until today you ever adopt. The Underbridge s.r.l., in fact, thanks to new system to inspection B.S.T.® (arm of support for television cameras), in degree to send under the impalcatis of the viaducts digital television cameras to tall definition connected to box of regal to film, in all safety, that until to today it was realized with personnel working on gangways it suspended in the void. Video inspections can substitute visual inspections that, under provisions of the law, and according to the working site, must be carried out periodically, throughout the year.

On the other hand, the tests of retro-reflection and luminance values, as well as chromatic coordinates, both for traffic signs and signposts, are under the supervision of the grantor Body (ANAS for Italian highways companies), which checks the quality standards mentioned on the agreement, as well as, if these lack, the values pursuant to the regulation\s in force. If the contracting firm has a servicing contract that provides the different works to be done, the franchisee must control it.

Analysis of ispection

The installation of the program Polyphemus ®, will allow theperson responsible of the infrastructures to quickly view the furnished reports tapes, and thanks to the technical cards and the relationships that will accompany them immediately to individualize the critical point eventually signalled.
The personnel work in all safety and is without need of technical support.
