WHO WE ARE

The Underbridge s.r.l® is a young and dynamic company, established with the vocation of carrying out video-inspections on road viaducts. Thanks to B.S.T.® (arm of support for television cameras, covered by international patent) it is able to send 8/10 high definition television cameras connected to a production room set out on a truck equipped with hydraulic crane, under the viaducts planking. Moving slowly and in total safety, it can film a 15-meter (15-yard) large, maximum, planking, and a daily output close to 1,000.00 meters (1,000.00 yards). Furthermore, Polyphemus® software, will allow the manager to watch all recorded films on its PC, simultaneously, as if he were under the viaducts planking, himself.

With Willy®, instead, which is a system designed and implemented in 2011, it’d be able to carry out external video-inspections to viaducts piers, up to 100 meters (300 feet) high. The internal ones, instead, are already in use since 2010.

Underbridge s.r.l.® has then decided to increase its activities in the inspection and monitoring sector, and since it has an expertise in the traffic signs and signposts sector, it applies the technology it uses to carry out its services pursuant UNI EN 1436 – 12899 legislation, including the tests of the anti-skidding values (SRT) measured with the TRRL system.

The devices it uses are all state-of-the-art.Delta, a Danish company leader in electronic systems, implemented new retroriflectometers both for signposts and traffic signs. With regards to the first, Underbridge s.r.l.® carries out refraction tests and luminance of refracting face sheet, creating a geo-referenced signposts register as well; with regards to the latter, instead, it verifies refraction and luminance of traffic signs.

With regards to this last activity, Underbridge s.r.l. ® can use both systems of on the spot and dynamic survey, the one and only in Italy. The latter, in fact, gives the possibility to film the roadway under survey and at the same time, in superimposition, display the refracting data, including the gauging of the contrast that traffic signs has on the paving. Then, an integrated GPS system allows the verification of the correct position of the vehicle at high performances. The survey is carried out 25 times per second at a speed of 90Km/h (55 miles per hour) for lines as much as 1.00 meter (1.00 yard) wide.

Data output is immediate and can be pulled out continually, every 10cm (4 in.), 50cm (20 in.), 1mt (1 yard), 10mt (10 yards), 100mt (100 yards), 500mt (500 yards), 1000mt. (1000 yards), as well as any interval included between the above mentioned ones.
